Symptoms of Depression
In addition to feeling sad, hopeless and/or sluggish, people who are depressed may gain or lose weight, sleep too much or too little, feel irritable, anxious or emotionally numb, and,/or lose interest in pleasurable activities, including sex.
If you experience two or more of these symptoms for more than two consecutive weeks, seek professional help immediately.
Some symptoms of depression that are commonly overlooked include chronic aches and pains, as well as problems with memory and concentration.
