Exercise Cuts Risk of Dying
Exercise greatly cuts a man's risk of dying from heart disease.
Recent finding: Men at high risk for heart disease (due to hypertension, high cholesterol and/or other risk factors) who exercised for 30 minutes four to five days per week reduced their risk of dying from a heart attack or stroke by 50%.
Self-defense: Everyone—especially those who are at risk for heart disease—should perform aerobic exercise, such as walking or swimming, for at least 30 minutes four to five days a week.
