Erectile dysfunction (ED) may mean heart trouble, a new study says. There is a strong association between ED and cardiovascular disease. In a clinical trial, men older than 55 who reported a new problem with ED had a 25% increased risk of suffering a cardiovascular "event," such as a heart attack, stroke or angina, than men who had no problem with ED.

Precaution: When you seek help for ED, ask your doctor to check for heart trouble.
