Use the first stall—it tends to be the least popular. Flush the toilet with your foot, then leave the stall quickly to avoid airborne bacteria. To be sure you are washing your hands long enough, sing the song Happy Birthday to You to yourself twice. Wash with comfortably lukewarm water—hotter water does not kill more germs. Use a paper towel to turn off the faucet and pull the door handle so that you don't pick up more germs after cleaning your hands.
